From the Prelodge option in the Container tab, you can enter prelodge information to gate an empty container out of the terminal.
Log into Mainsail Online; click Container, Prelodge.
In the Create Prelodge screen, Create area, click the down arrow in the Type field and then select Container Empty Out. Click Create to continue.
In the Create Prelodge Container Empty Out screen, enter the following information:
Driver ID: enter the driver identification number.
Driver Name: enter the driver name.
Note: If the driver name and number you enter is not in the system, a Driver Not Found link will display. Verify that the number you entered is correct; if it is, click this link to override this warning and continue entering your prelodge information.
Truck License: enter the truck license number.
Destination: enter the container destination.
Booking: enter the booking number associated with the container.
Container: enter the container number. If the container number entered is already in the system, the Owner and Size/Type information for the container will automatically display. If the container number entered is not recognized, enter the owner and size/type.
NOTE: If the container number you enter is not in the system, a Container Entered is New or Incorrect, Continue? link will display. Verify that the number you entered is correct; if it is, click this link to override this warning and continue entering your prelodge information.
Freight Forwarder: enter the freight forwarder name.
FF Reference #: enter the freight forwarder reference number.
Notes: enter any additional information for the container as needed.
Once you have entered the prelodge information for the empty container, click Create; the Successfully Created screen will display to confirm the prelodge entry.
Notice that the Successfully Created screen includes a Visit Number; you must give this number to the truck driver assigned to that transaction; the truck driver will use this number to enter the terminal gate. From this screen, you can perform the following additional actions:
Add another Prelodge Record: you may want the trucker visiting the terminal to complete more than one transaction during that visit (deliver or pick up additional containers or cargo). From the Successfully Created screen, you can use the Select Prelodge drop-down menu to select another transaction for that visit; the options remaining in the drop-down menu are the ones still available for that visit.
Delete the
Prelodge Record: click the red delete button in
the Successfully Created view to delete the record you created. If there
are no other prelodge records saved against that visit number, the visit
number will also be deleted.
Add Hazards to a Prelodge: click the Container number in the Successfully Created screen. In the opened container detail view, Hazards tab, click Add Hazard. In the New Hazard screen, enter the hazardous information for the container and then click Create to enter that information.
Print a Prelodge Report: to print prelodge information, click the Print Prelodge Report link.
